hi all,
i m really confused regarding how they (UTS) calculate CGPA. as my knowledge, CGPA should be the total grade points earned/ total no of subjects.
for example, i failed a subject in the last semester. so i did it again in this semester and passed. i was supposed to finish 12 subjects this semester (total 12 subjects in my program) but as i did a subject twice, i finished 11 subjects. so in this case, will my total grade points be divided by 11 or 12 ?? my logic says, as i have repeated the subject, my new grade will replace the previous one and that should make 11 subjects. but UTS showing CGPA dividing 12 subjects (but i didnt do 12 subjects) ! in addition, if i do the remaining 1 subject in the next semester, then will they calculate CGPA by 12 or 13 ? :O
any suggestions !? thanks !
