Hi I need some help with complex numbers, geometrical properties part. Thanks in advance for everyone who helps, it is much appreciated. I've just started on extension 2 maths, and I'm not the best yet so here are some of my questions, I need the solutions.
1) |z|=1, where z>0
a) show |z+1|= 2sin [arg(z-1)]
b) show arg(z+1) = half[arg(z)]
2) z, 1/z and z+ 1/z form a quadrilateral. What are the coordinates of the quadrilateral such that:
a) its a square
b) its a rhombus
3) P and Q represent z1 and z2 respectively. |z1|=|z2|. Also 0<argz1<argz2. angle QOP =60 degrees. OPQR is a parallelogram.
a) find arg(z1/z2)
b) if OP= r, find expression for |z1+z2| and |z1-z2| in terms of r
c) show z1+ z2= sqrt(3)i(z1-z2)
4) P (a point on arg diagram)= 1+2i. The segment OP rotates 30 degrees. What is complex number that represents the point occupied by P after the rotation
Big thanks to everyone who contributes!
