I have this question. Find the modolus and argument of each of hte compelx no. z1=2i and z2= 1 + sqrt3i. Mark on an argand diagram the points P,Q,R and S representing z1, z2, z1+z2, and z1-z2 respectively. Deduce the exact values of arg(z1+z2) and arg(z1-z2)

For this question, the solutions provided are done algebracally. However, cant we just tan^-1? and convert to radians. Will that be accepted in exam?

Do you mean maybe geometrically?

Unless specifically stated in the question (like, on an argand diagram) you can use whichever method you like, as long as it provides the correct answer.
