Should i combine commerce with CS or SE in Uni next year? If you were google who would you hire, someone with a CS degree or SE degree?

for example says software engineering there but says required a degree in Computer science in most of them lol.

They're similar except Software students get a greater amount of experience and learning in managing long term projects, which is far more attractive to employers than pure coding ability (because software students get the same amount of experience in coding at an educational level as comp sci). Software also get automatic honours.

You can learn to code on your own dude, you just need uni to help you learn project management and design.

Google wouldn't refuse you purely on the basis that you're a software student
