Dress businessy - for guys, a nice button top and pants (NOT JEANS), with your school shoes should be fine... same sort of deal for girls, but they can wear skirts :p That's what most people wore to my interview.

yeah when i went, it was bout this time of the year; in august.
i didnt get a call until late october/ early november for induction
then i called for work during mid december..

its a pretty slow process when i went through mine..
looks like its still a slow process...

so dont stress, they will call once christmas draws near.

subject: Welcome to Myer - Your next steps

Congratulations! You have been successful in securing a casual position with Myer over the upcoming Peak Trading/Christmas period. This offer is dependent on you attending a Pre Employment session and accepting our terms and conditions of employment by signing and returning the contract.

Contract Pack

Within 5 days, you will receive via mail, a contract pack. Included in the contract pack will be further details regarding this position such as store location and rates of pay. With this you will also receive a REST superannuation application form and a tax file declaration form.

Pre-Employment

In your contract pack, you will receive an information sheet instructing you to contact the store to schedule Pre Employment and Job Skills Training.

Pre employment provides the opportunity for you to return your signed contract and relevant paperwork, ask any questions that you may have as well as meet members of the team.

The Pre-Employment session will be held at your nominated store and will take approximately 1 to 2 hours.

Online Induction

Within the next 2 working days, you will receive an email regarding online induction, which must be completed PRIOR to your scheduled Job Skills training.

Professional Attire

As Myer is a professional company, you are required to wear black and white professional attire. If you do not have black and white professional business attire for your pre-employment session, other professional business attire will be suitable.

Congratulations once again, and thank you for applying for a position within the Coles Myer Group. We wish you all the very best for the future.
