ok wait but my text has three main experiences that i base each of my paras on. the first one is grief, so it relates strongly to the inconsistent responses to grief, and the other two each relate to anomalies and paradoxes respectively. it doesn't really overlap. how would i approach such a question then?

look i think it just depends on the full question there will be other components for sure if this pops up, what i would do is just mention SOMETIMES these rubric terms not all the time that will be repetitive and reduce the quality of your essay but make sure u acknowledge it in your thesis and intro, how you do this depends on how your structured your essay. since i did 1984 i will just use this as a cause and effect type thing if that makes sense??

for people doing ts eliot if the question is on textual integrity are we meant to talk about journey of magi because it kinda deviates a little from eliot's other poems??

also for mod A is it mandatory to discuss one dissonance and one resonant thing or can we do 2 of the same thing??

for mod a it depends on what the question is asking you, there was times (i think) where they asked just on how the texts collide, that would require only dissonances if im correct. but if a question doesnt specify i would do resonances and dissonances to show that you have a deep understanding of both

textual integrity is the overall unity of the text, how it's form/language/structure all come together to produce meaning.
journey of magi has some different use of language (reflecting eliot's own conversion in his faith) compared to the other 4 poems
so i was wondering if we should be including it or not

- this took me so long if i got this on thursday id just dumb the rubric and call it a day but if it does come we're prepared i guess
- this is just on my text 1984 im not sure how well this fits for other texts

??? his question was whether there was some secret rule that you have to talk about magi if the question is about textual integrity. last year the question was on textual integrity. i have seen band 6 essays for that essay question that do not talk about magi. wait so why dosent that make sense

yeah but the magis structure+use of language does serve a purpose. and it is the final poem of the suite so it shows progression from his previous poems. personally I WOULD add magi in my essay, bcs i did that in trials and my question was about textual integrity and i got a good mark for mod b.

the hsc is in under a week so i would NOT do that if magi is their weaker poem (which i assume it is if they are concerned about having to use it)

just because its an exemplar doesnt mean you can not talk about another poem and still get an exemplar. if the poem is assigned to mod b it has textual integrity???????
