So no uni then?

and define "shitty"
Nah I'm going to uni, what I meant was I don't want to go to uni for 5 years and come out earning a shitty amount, the same amount I could be earning if I went and got a job straight away.

Ummm by shitty I mean <$50-40k

Most teachers are from public schools. There's your peanuts.
Private schools are a growing breed and will out pace public sector anyways

So do all other public servants, don't they?
Teachers have a bit more power, as a lot of parents are forced to make alternate arrangement if there kids are going to be staying home, e.g take day off, find someone to look after them. If cleaners walk off, everyone will be mmk, and not a large segment population effected. Some govt sectors (e.g Emergency services) really dont have a choice to walk off the job, because if they walk off someone could die and i know most cant bring themselves to do that

Yeah fair enuf, most people do earn over 50k after uni, unless you do some useless degree.

And I rekon the private sector wont grow that much, Australia is too different, atm ayway
