At the moment I am quite interested in becoming a civil engineer although I still have a few questions for anyone willing to give me advice:

• How do I become a Civil Engineer..?
• What ATAR is required..?
• What is the Assumed Knowledge..?
• Which University would be best..?
• How many years does the degree go for..? Then what..? Further Study, Straight into Employment, etc..?
• Job Prospects within Australia..?
• Any Other Useful and/or Relevant Information..?

1. Usually a bachelors degree at uni or you can even do it at tafe.
2. Depends on uni, but usually 70-80+
3. Extension maths and physics
4. Uts, university of Sydney, unsw
5. 4-5 years, then it's up to you
6. pretty good

I know a couple people who done engineering at tafe, not sure if it worked out though.
You don't really need 90, from what I have been told from engineering students on Bos, you can get in with like 75 atar at uts and like 80-85 at unsw. You also don't need chem, unless you want to do chemical engineering.

This is true, however I do believe that I could do a bridging course for MX1 and, as for Chemistry, I wouldnt need it because I want to do CIVIL Engineering and not CHEMICAL Engineering

Mathematics, Physics. Ext 1 maths very helpful, Chem is helpful in materials etc.
UNSW
4 then into graduate position
Very good job prospects
