I'm just wondering how often do you do chemistry related work in biology? and is it at a difficult level? I like biology (when it has minimal or no chemistry!) but I really dislike chemistry. is it seldom in some topics?

Chemistry is an entirely different subject with a different focus.

Yes some things may appear in chemistry too (i.e photosynthesis) but you are not expected to have the chemical background in biology. Doing the core and the communication option, I can say there was no advantageous overlap with chem whatsoever. Definitely no concern, chem and bio are very separate.

This is a bit off-topic, but anyway. At uni, if you plan to study biology there, you kind of need some background in chem to understand some of the content.
