Does anyone know if Tutorial and Lab from Chem1011 have to stick together?

I think survivor means like the comp TLB combinations, like how a lab always follows a tute in a 3 hour block.

By the looks of the timetable offered by school of chem, this seems to be the case

Yep, that's what I meant. I kind of want them to be separate....Since I want to finish uni before 3PM everyday.

But if that is compulsory, I need to finish at 5PM....

I suggest emailing the CHEM department then to check if this is possible (it might be one of those secretly possible things, like the way you can mix and match MATH1131/MATh1141 lectures)

are u saying u can only have chem1011 lab and tut one after the other... cuz i have chem1011 tutorial on thrus.. and chem 1011 lab on friday....

i just chose those times simply during online enrolment when i choose my timetable...

When we enrol, they myUNSW allow us to pick any combination of TUT and Lab. But on the chem website, the Tut and Lab must be together.

So we will find out when we registrate for Lab and tut on Monday 23rd on the chem website.

Most people do have their tutorials and their labs together - mainly because some tutors are lab demonstrators and sometimes explain what you'll be doing in the lab during the tutorial.

so the labs and the tutes should be followed one after another rather than seperately on the next day??

well im in the same boat as hoyin, i have my lab on tuesday from 11 to 1
and my tutorial on friday from 10 to 11. and the online enrolement let me do this, because i remember really clearly that tutorial and lab time was not combined when i enroled online.

im going to uni today for ther advising day, ill drop by chem and ask them when i get my lab coat and stuff

edited: okay i swapped some classes around, and my tutorial and lab time are together. i cant believe it actually fitted. ill still go and ask the chem ppl tho.

no i swapped online. i asked them, they said u can do either, caz clearly they let u choose different times on the enrolement page. but like some ppl said everyone would rather have tut before lab so it makes it that much easier.

i aslo asked.. that lady said you need to enrol online at the chem website on the 23rd for the tut/lab times...
i tried swapping online... and wanted the time of 11~2 on thrusday.. 11-12 for tut.. and 12~2 for lab...
the online enrolling does have 11-12 chem tut for thrus but doesnt have 12~2 chem1011 lab for thursday.. whilst the chem webpage says there is... =/ ????
so confusing..
