Cheaper Graduation gown hire? (1 Viewer)

Hey guys,

I'm about to graduate from Melbourne Uni, does anyone know where I can get graduation gowns etc cheaper? It costs $150 to hire them for 2 hours, which is crazy.

I did my grad dip this year and got my gown online through these guys http://www.churchillgowns.com.au/index.html. I think they do uni stuff as well as post grad stuff.

I did two degrees at usyd first and had to hire their gowns (well, in hindsight, I probably didn't have to but I didn't really look around to see what was available) and it was so expensive. All the academic merchandise as well...they must make a killing. I kind of have to laugh though when people are paying around $50 for a stupid teddy bear.

Any other recommendations for this a few years later? I'm at UTAS and it's really expensive
