The BOND is BACK!!!

Daniel Craig is an excellent Bond for this film - does it really well!

*no walther ppk
*Judy Dench is still M. Nothing against her, it's just that when Bond became a 00, it was a guy M
*although it's before Dr No's time, it's set in the present time
*lack of Bond theme music during video
*Sony is annoyingly everywhere in the movie
*lacks the cheesy lines
*guys will find the film more painful than girls
*no Q

i thought it was good, it tries to steer away from the over cliche villians a bit i guess with no super dooper weapons or cars :p

daniel craig was good and the general story line was good :) gotta love the bond girls

i agree with fatmuscle- M should have been a male

Not sure if I enjoyed it. Massive product placement. My experienced was ruined by an asian girl narrating and reacting the whole way through. It was reserved seating so I couldn't move.

Might just go watch it again later, I'm sure.... that it was good.

Perhaps I had high expectations. I don't know. Who says I should make another viewing?

Daniel Craig was great. He pulled it off. Very well.

You should have told her to shut up or you'll ban her, or at least moderate her.

Rather exciting to watch, especially the beginning. One notable highlight was the DBS crash, spectacular. I found the 'torture' scene rather... humourous... in the way I found Saw III humourous.

i thought most of the film was pretty good, especially the start, however the ending kind of left me disatisfied.

"is that a rollex?"
"no its an omega, classy silver, for only $499, because I, Mr Bond, am just too cool to wear an inferior rollex. I recommend you buy an Omega watch as a gift for loved ones this christmas."

more obvious please.

Anyone notice that the best action parts were all given away in the trailer?

Perhaps that's also why I was disappointed. Those giveaways were merely given a context.

Mind you the rest was good.

oh yeah, that movie was great. Loved the poker scenes, and the ppl in the cinema kept clapping at certain places.

For example

-When he clasped that detonator to that guys ass
-When he turned over his straight flush

The poker scenes were so incredibly obvious, as were a lot of parts of the movie. Although I found it terribly predictable, I enjoyed it.

Except that last half hour, just awful.

All Bond movies are predictable, though.
There is Bond.
A villain is established.
Sexy ladies are introduced and slept with.
ACTION (cars, fighting and running)
There is some sort of twist.
Bond is winnar
End.

I didn't expect to find Mr Bond quite so hot, though.

Yeah, but this one drifted away from the slowly zooming out on Bond and Bond girl making out ending to something else, and even then it was still pretty obvious.

A lot of cricticism prior to the movie of the Craig's selection of Bond - but it seems he did a good job.

I heard this movie was supposed to be gory and he gets smacked - tortured etc? is this true?

If he doesnt get tortured - me not watch - it will be a typical bond movie.

Some good quotes came from that torture scene though. Not entirely sure if it was necessary but it was certainly amusing. Brilliant movie.

Overall I felt the quality of this movie was a definite step up from where the franchise had left off
Points:

  • The new bond is quite hot, and much more well muscled than I was expecting.
  • The torture scene almost seemed like it was taken out of a gay porn.
  • The bond girl seemed to recieve better development this time around.
  • Bond girl looks heaps like this girl from one of my classes.
  • The excessive product placement bothered me, it seemed Sony Ericson was constantly coming into view.

Did you go see it a second time?
