University of sydney > UNSW

The buildings at University of sydney are so pretty =]
+ its across the street from broadway shops and near newtown shops.
UNSW is near what? randwick shops? lol.

+ when I got lost in sydney Uni I had far more fun than when I got lost in UNSW.

lol my friends got lost in UNSW. They went to the loos without telling anyone, and so when they came out we had all gone back to the coaches. 20 minute holdup while we waited for them to find their way back to us FTW

I got lost in the bookstore at UNSW. I don't even know how.

And I remember walking round in circles at University of Sydney for hours with 2 friends.

Isn't ANU the "best" in the country? According to all those "Greatest Universities in the Word" thingies, it is.

I'm looking towards studying English and/or Communications at UMelb.

Want to be a pilot.
Not sure if I want to go to uni, but maybe I'll do a business/finance degree or something before I move on to learn to fly.

OMG, it's an opinion.
Wikipedia said:
An opinion is a person's ideas and thoughts towards something. It is an assessment, judgment or evaluation of something. An opinion is not a fact, because opinions are either not falsifiable, or the opinion has not been proven or verified. If it later becomes proven or verified, it is no longer an opinion, but a fact.

In economics, philosophy, or other social sciences, analysis based on opinions is referred to as normative analysis (what ought to be), as opposed to positive analysis, which is based on scientific observation (what materially is). In mathematics and logic there can be no opinions about some claims, equations, and arguments, because often these kinds of statements are either valid or invalid, and true or false, and not open to contradicting opinions.

Robert Webb, half of the Mitchell and Webb comedy duo, identified the phenomenon of idle opinion. Mitchell and Webb had come in for considerable criticism in the UK for their Apple Mac commercials, which contrasted the Mac with the PC. Webb noted that the vast bulk of the criticism happened during office hours, when people should have been doing their jobs. After 5pm each day, the criticism in blogs and Web chatrooms dried up. His conclusion is that idle opinion consists of views that people don't hold strongly, or indeed that they may not hold the view at all. 'Critics' just want to be part of a discussion, rather than do their daily grind.
I personally prefer UNSW, because I don't as I easily lost there than at USyd/UoS; but I'm probably just accustomed to it - for example, I used to do swimming and GERRIC there.

USyd's okay, but I find the pretty buildings too daunting. Also, I'm apprehensive about the milieu of the uni.

both unsw and usyd are great universities just leave it as that
I opine that this is the best resolution to the moot discussion.
Hear, hear.

Good for research and international [subject] and Asian Studies.

If you honestly want the best, become an Australian expatriot and a (fucking) defector and go live in the redneck-run U.S.
7/11 was ... a conspiracy. =O, more like =OMG.

Pinko... socialist?
[I'm an egalitarian/feminist (though I have a particular aversion towards homosexuals) with a communist background, of capitalist standing. Or something.]

Hey Zephyrio.:) Long time no speak.
The MB/BMedSc course is quite difficult to get into; USyd's absence of an MBBS course is perhaps another reason why I prefer UNSW in this aspect.

so usyd pwnz0rs unsw's collective rectum; point duly noted.

can't they both be considered the best? it's inaccurate to compare them without looking at the individual aspects.

I have considered individual aspects, and my conclusion is unchanged. USYD ftw.

No, you've got it wrong; it's USYD ftmfw.
Ob-vee-us-leeh!

Only thing I have against USyd is that it's pretty foreign to me and it's like a maze.
I like ordered structure, which is exhibited in the design of UNSW.
Fischer Library > all of UNSW libraries.

Someone after my own heart! I'm looking to UMelb for English/Economics or something like that. I want to be a business mogul... which kind of doesn't work if you want to work in the arts.
And who cares about either USyd or UNSW? Clearly it's all about UWS. LOLOLOL! :p
