Can you recommend good Biology textbooks for year 11 & 12 (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a few good Biology textbooks for year 11 & 12 as additional resource? My school has only given me a Year 11 Biozone student workbook. I'm starting year 11 this year.

Your school gave you one textbook? A lot of schools are worse then that (we havent got any textbooks for maths, the ones that we have are 10 years old and arent a class set.) Schools cant often afford multiple class sets but usually the teachers have heaps of different ones they teach off and can give you digital copies. As for names Heinemen is very good. My Mum is a bio teacher and she recommends that one.

Thanks, they only gave me a Biozone prelim workbook - not even a textbook. I wanted to do some pre-reading before I went back to school but guess I'll just have to buy these first.

Biology in Focus is pretty damn good and detailed for HSC imo. However for prelim i suggest the Heinemann textbook - it's to the point, explains well, and is nicely colourful aha
