Hello everyone.
I have a question to ask. Is it still possible to get a 90 atar?

Maths STD 2. 1st task 98 2nd task 96 3rd task isn't marked but I expect 85-93.ranked 1

English STD. 1st task 75 2nd task 75 3rd task probably 70 Currently ranked 2nd or 3rd.

However , that could be scaled down due to lazy people and half thE class getting below 50% in english

Biology 1st task 87 2nd task 89 3rd task probably 85-95 ranked tied 1st

Physics 1st task 69 2nd task 75 ranked 3rd

Geography 1st task 95 2nd task 76ranked tied 2nd

BTW, I might want to do engineering as a degree is it possible to get in with maths standard?

No one can predict your atar with internal marks only, you need to give at least a range of your school ranking to get at most, a vague estimate

You can definitely get in engineering with std maths but you gotta study/be familiar with adv+ math topics to not get cooked by 1st yr maths (for unsw at least)

Ok, say I go to a school that ranks 500+, gets no B6s and gives out easy assignments and I score 100s on all my assignments. If I omit that my school is lenient and performs badly then someone can say I'm on track for 99.95 atar when in reality, I'd get cooked by hsc and get a mystery mark

This just means you have no safety net of a well performing cohort for you to fall back onto.

So preferably be rank 1 in all your subjects or at least top 3 before hsc and spam past papers and you'll get the highest atar available to you (which is >90)

Possible but unlikely. As for engineering with math std2, if this is your goal then id really recommend a uni like woolongong that offers a pretty comprehensive math adv/ext 1 catch up type course for sem 1. I can tell you from experience that even my friends with decently good 3u marks (94 adv, 86 ext1) still struggled with math1131 at unsw for engineering
