Hi. Ive attachedQuestion 18 of the Business Studies HSC exam 2002 .
Im not sure how to do the question. I was wondering if some1 could have a go @ it for me. The answer is C..

But please show full working. Because Ive got no idea We've only just started the financial planning and management subject during these last couple of weeks.

The formula u have to use for this is:

Sales Revenue - Cost of Goods sold = Gross Profit

in this case:

- Sales revenue = Total revneue = $5000

- Cost of Goods Sold = unknown

- Gross Profit = 60%

Which means that :

5000 - ? = 60%
5000 x 40% = ?
? = 2000 which is C)
