I've got to buy a couple of DVDs for English for next term, but I don't know where to get them. They seem pretty "rare". I'm looking for:
1. Blade Runner - Director's Cut
2. The Big Sleep - Director's Cut

1. I might be able to get over the Net, but
2. I can't even seem to find on the Net....

Does anyone know where to get them from? Preferrably physical locations and if not, Australian websites.

i am not doing blade runner or the big sleep but, my friends from other schools found it very hard to obtain a copy of bladerunner, if you live in sydney you could go to Woolworths town hall they have a huge and i mean huge DVD collection or if you can't find it there you could try Myer in the city as well they have a pretty big collection

to get BladerunnerDC the best option would probably be to rent it - since it went on the syllabus it's been really hard to get copies of it legit, and the producer and the director are not on speaking terms, and the director needs the producer's permission to make a new run of the DVDs.

Well, I'm not sure if it's very legal, or even if I'm allowed to say it on these forums but since it will probably help everyone else trying to get these movies I'll say it anyway. :p

First of all, you would need cable internet (preferably one of those "unlimited" plans) and a DVD burner.

1. head over to http://bittorrent.com/download.html and click on the "Windows Installer" link
2. once you install that go to http://www.suprnova.org
3. click search at the top, and type in Bladerunner
4. download then burn it onto a dvd and you're done!

I've tried searching for The Big Sheep but no luck in finding it... meh..

I wish I could do that, but unfortunately our school leaves us to do it ourselves.

My teacher said that it's best to have a "permanent" copy to refer to at all times, so I guess renting would be a last resort. The only problem is that it has to be the Director's Cut, which makes it even more difficult.

DSE sells Blade Runner.

I have it, but lent it to a friend - not sure if I've gotten it back yet. Not really keen to part with it either, but I can lend it to you (if I still have it) - pm me.

And it's the Director's Cut version?
Do all DSE stores sell it? Coz I have two stores in my suburb. Maybe I can buy my own copy. Thx for the offer :)
