i am being 100% serious.

fact: less than 1/4 of rail fines this year were paid.

This is probably true but they'll cancel your drivers licence and other things.

Next time I catch the train I'll buy a ticket as insurance, but then refuse to show the transit officer and refuse to show him my ID, and try to bail at the next station and see what he does.

I notice the North Shore line (Chatswood/Hornsby) there are no cops on these trains but on the Epping/Eastwood line, all the cops seem to like hanging around there Most of the time I buy but if its a one/two stops without barriers why bother?
