Which one is smarter to go for ?

Personally I'd go for the business degree - just because you'll get exposed to those core business units.

I'm not sure, but isn't communications more of an arts based degree?

That's what I was thinking but I just wanted opinions.

What part of marketing/advertising do you want to work in - the business and communication degree achieve slightly different things - a creative director (e.g. shooting commercials etc..) would usually have a communications degree, someone that is doing a campaign for nestle etc..usually has a marketing degree - although both can be interchanged in the industry - communciations is definitely a more creative degree, and well business is business.
