Thanks Snooty, appreciate itSnooty said:Check vUWS on the 25th. Its an all online unit with weekly online quizzes and exercises. However if your marks are not satisfactory you will be told to enrol in one of the workshops on campus. Get the book if you want, im gonna wait and see if its necessary though.
Last semester we didn't have any lectures, tutes, workshops (only compulsory for those who fail weekly activities). Yeah there was a lot of people who failed it, (so did I). No matter how well you do in the asssignments, etc, if you don't pass the final exam (essay on unknown topic - you FAIL the whole unit - exactly what happened to me). I can't believe i have to do it again. It is very time consuming as well, it will take you at least at least 6 hours a week to get through the work. It is not hard at all, but they mark it very hard especially the final exam, i passed around 30 or so criteria's and failed 3 of them and got an immediate fail. I know some people who haven't bought the book, didn't register for MWL handed in assessments late, passed the final exam and passed the whole unit.mb87 said:Hey guys, I know I'm revamping an old post.
From all you who has completed this course, I wanna know if lectures, workshops and praticals are compulsory attendance. As I work full time I'm only able to attend the workshops which are apparently from week 6 to week 14.
And also noticed by skim reading thru the bas threads and a facebook grop I found HEHe! there seems to be a high failure rate. my first impressions of the unit of another generic organisational type subject, I don't see how any one cold fail. Any way I really wanna do well without attending the lectures and study my ass off this semester.
