in my experience, stupidity tends to have a direct correlation with blonde-ness. however, obviously there are exceptions to the rule. i think that someone who is a natural blonde is free from this label, but people who decide to go blonde from dark are usually dumb and skanky.

but, then again, i also know plenty of trashy and skanky.... i won't say brunettes, because most of them have black hair, but "dark haired girls"

I think so long as you like your hair, it doesn't matter whether other people think it's trashy. I'm personally too pale for blonde hair and I'm not a fan of brown hair, so I tend to stick with red shades, black, or black with brightly coloured highlights.

Right now my hair is black with bright pink highlights. It'll be black and royal blue after tomorrow.

I reckon it's just the immediate connotations you get when you hear that some guy's girlfriend is blonde; you think of the ditzy bimbo. And the immediate thought of a brunette is someone mature and mysterious. But it's nothing to really worry about, since it's in absolute passing, and has very little to do with the actual impression you make after getting know someone, and that hopefully the people around you aren't dumb spacktards who stick to their perceived stereotypes.

I, for one, wish I could make that decision of blonde/brunette. But because I'm asian, I'd have trouble going any lighter than a chocolatish brunette without looking unnatural, absolutely trashy or insane.

hey-- I'm a natural blonde too and I reckon that "Blond is trashy" view only really applies to platinum blonde hair-- mainly cause you invariably encounter it on porn stars/ pin up girls, eg. Hugh Hefners three girlfriends.

I used to have really light blonde hair.. but as I've gotten older the colour has darkened. Ergo Natural Blonde.
