Speculation is rife that pop star Britney Spears may become the next Bond girl, following in the illustrious footsteps of stars such as Halle Berry and Ursula Andress.

According to the entertainment news television show Extra, Spears recently met in London with the producers of the James Bond movie series to discuss a role.

Spears' official Web site has no mention of her plans for 007.

But it says she has signed on to produce and star in an adaptation of author Tobi Tobin's Door to Door, in which she will play a teenager trying to catch her big break in Hollywood.

hahaha you ppl hav got it all wrong...BRITNEY SPEARS IS NOT THE NEXT BOND GURL....its only been speculated that she "MAY" be the next bond gurl....however more recent news has revealed That it will definately be Aishwarya Rai. Britney had met with the producers of BOND however they then came to an agreement to reject her as they had found a replacement. This is exactly why there is no mention of it in her website.
