I'm going to argue the complete opposite of the rest of you

I don't think we should learn any history at all in the old-fashioned sense of "at this time, this happened" or the course of the world wars or key events, etc.

I think it should be not just mostly (like at present), but entirely focused on the experiences of women, children, immigrants and aborigines during major events
e.g.
the impact of white invasion on aborigines
the role of women during WWI
the experience of aborigines during WWII
the impact of the Cold War on immigrants
the effect of 1980s fashion on aborigines
the contemporary experience of aborigines
the impact of the racist HoWARd on immigrants
etc.

Learning about the actual events enforces an outdated, imperialist view of these events on ppl, etc.

I seriously thought WW1 and WW2 weren't real wars. I thought they were just minor 'disagreements' and that the soldiers really weren't in any danger.
What? Your own prior knowledge didn't tell you otherwise??

Surely the United States has had a greater influence on the world in modern times than any other nation? Plus their history is one of the most interesting out there, certainly moreso than Britain's.

Doesn’t really matter wtf they change. Whatever the fuck they teach will be corrupt, and fraudulent in all ways. if anyone did a bit of research outside the 4 walls of their classroom will immediately be aware of what they teach us in high school is an absolute lie.

but hey, at least it keeps the ignorant masses in line.
