obviously she wouldnt get 20 years jail she would probably just get a warning which is fair enufff.

20 years for such a fucking petty crime is a joke.

but in australia, with the same evidence - would she be found guilty? what do you guys think?

Importing drugs is not a petty crime, but I do agree that, Australian law or not, 20 years is quite harsh.

I have no idea whether she is at fault or not, but I think there would be a considerable chance of her being found guilty if she were tried in Australia, at least for possession.

You obviously don't have any knowledge of the Australian drug laws.

The onus is substantially reversed in Australia as well.

australian law is no good either

it just creates a class of luckless victims who have drugs placed in their bags, and of course they can't show who put them there.

exactly,

why do we tolerate this bull shit from our government.

what happned with linsey chamberlin? she is fucking innocent yeah?

our fucking government/police whatever as far as im aware threatens people to plead guilty and also it bribes people into testifying against others by giving reduced sentences etc?

that is so fucking corrupt.

Its a crime for us to force people to testify and say what we want - but the police and government can do that.

Heaps of innocent ppple are in jail, because our government doesnt care about individuals.

Every single person should be treated with respect and no innocent people should be inpriosned in this country.

What the fuck is reasonable doubt? unless there is pretty much - no fucking chance that ur innocent u should be found guilty -

As the government keeps being harder on crimes etc and giving police further powers and pple convicted more excesssive jail sentences - that means more innocent ppple are going to end up in jail for longer periods of time.

errr bitchgirl you cant really think they would let her go just because of how australia has helped indonesia in the past..
it would mean any australians could come into the country and commit whatever crimes they wanted.

Oh i see...we bribe...i mean pay countries so that our citizens are above the law in that nation.

So if the usa gives us money that means yanks who import drugs into australia are exempt...

At these moments I become very aware that there is no shortage of morons in Australia
Thats what I was thinking

LoLz who cares about the laws of any country. She's hot and to put her away for 20 or so years is a bloody waste. Incapacitating someone like her should be a crime.

Yes, there is more of an emphasis in proving your own innocence with drug laws. I think that goes for using counterfeit money as well?
