hey anyone out there
if someone could help me...

i am comparing the beginnings of bnw and br and i have heaps for br but not so much for chapter 1 of bnw... i need to find some differences in the both regarding language, values, attitudes, context etc..

please help anyone

well i think it is important to note in BNW, nature is seen as unnecessary is superfluous with regards to stability. This obviously stems from the fact that in the 30s no one was particularly concerned about humanity's impact on the environment. i guess you could talk about Huxley's descriptions of the Hatchery being virtually devoid of life (good one on pg1 i think). In the 80s, those concerns started coming out so they are emphasised in the opening of BR.

that's a start. reminds me much work needs to be done :(
