Now while I have a feeling a thread like this has been done many a time, I really cannot be stuffed to go find one and search through it so really I thought I'd start my own.

I have a question for the opposite sex:
Why are you all self-indulgent assholes? I mean, whenever something like this pops up there's always those guys who are say things such as,
"It's just cuz girls date asswipes they think all guys are asswipes"
Not true, for even the ones who seem like caring, thoughtful, 'sensitive' guys turn around and say something completely assholean like,
"I just need some me time, you're crowding my space"
Out of the blue it would seem.

Perhaps it's just me being completely blind to a whole range of issues, but i somehow doubt it. Boys, somehow I think you really don't want this battle of the sexes to ever end do you? You enjoy it. I don't know why but you really seem to. Any insight would be much appreciated because according to several guys you apparently 'all think the same'.

i'd just like to agree that stereotyping and generalisations is clearly the best way to improve communication between the sexes

they are not all self-indulgent asshole, sometimes they do need space from girls (who are possibly being ridiculously clingy). please stop generalising, every guy is different even if only by a tiny minute detail.

and as if you don't enjoy the "battle of the sexes". its what feeds your whining. plus girls and guys are different, we're not meant to understand each other. and would you stupid girls stop complaining about it! you enjoy it. and don't deny it.

no for serious listen to me

i'm the only girl who's posted in here and what i have to say is so true.

you are bitter by the way. you'll find a sweet guy eventually, but you just sound picky too.

when a guy says he needs space he's not being an asshole, probably just telling the truth.

Every guy that I have dated has ended up being very clingy, so I know how frustratingly annoying it can be, and beleive me- they are telling the truth and do need space...whether or not the relationship/s continue is irrelevant

too easy too generalise....if i wanted to just be bitter about my past relationships and how those went, i'd never date again. or well, i'd never date again with greater certainty

VERSE:
My baby's always dancin'
And it wouldn't be a bad thing
But I don't get no loving
And that's no lie

We spent the night in Frisco
At every kind of disco
From that night I kissed
Our love goodbye

CHORUS:
Don't blame it on sunshine
Don't blame it on moonlight
Don't blame it on good times
Blame it on the boogie

Don't blame it on sunshine
Don't blame it on moonlight
Don't blame it on good times
Blame it on the boogie

VERSE:
The nasty boogie bugs me
But somehow it has drugged me
Spellbound rhythm gets me
On my feet

I've changed my life completely
I've seen the lightning leave me
My baby just can't take
Her eyes off me

CHORUS:
Don't blame it on sunshine
Don't blame it on moonlight
Don't blame it on good times
Blame it on the boogie

Don't you blame it on sunshine
Don't blame it on moonlight
Don't blame it on good times
Blame it on the boogie

I just can't
I just can't
I just can't control my feet

I just can't
I just can't
I just can't control my feet

I just can't
I just can't
I just can't control my feet

I just can't
I just can't
I just can't control my feet

CHORUS:
Don't blame it on sunshine
Don't blame it on moonlight
Don't blame it on good times
Blame it on the boogie

Don't blame it on sunshine
Don't blame it on moonlight
Don't blame it on good times
Blame it on the boogie

VERSE:
This magic music grooves me
That dirty rhythm moves me
The devil's gotten to me
Through this dance

I'm full of funky fever
And fire burns inside me
Boogie's got me in a
Super trance

CHORUS:
Don't blame it on sunshine
Don't blame it on moonlight
Don't blame it on good times
Blame it on the boogie

Don't blame it on sunshine
Don't blame it on moonlight
Don't blame it on good times
Blame it on the boogie

Owww - sunshine
Whoo - moonlight
Yeah - goodtimes
Mmmm - boogie

You just gotta - sunshine
Yeah - moonlight
Goodtimes
Good times - boogie

Don't you blame it - sunshine
You just gotta - moonlight
You just wanna - goodtimes
Yeah - boogie
Ohh blame it on yourself - sunshine
Ain't nobody's fault - moonlight
But yours and that boogie - goodtimes
On all night long - boogie

Yours and that boogie - sunshine
Ain't nobody's fault - moonlight
But yours and that boogie - goodtimes
Dancin' all night long - boogie

Blame it on yourself - sunshine
Ain't nobody's fault - moonlight
But yours and that funky funky boogie al night long - goodtimes

Nice guys will lie to you in a manner that gives you the right message without hurting your feelings.
Things like "I need time, you're crowding me" mean he isn't attracted to you and doesn't want to be in a relationship with you.
Would you prefer that he say "You're ugly and a waste of time, leave me the fuck alone"?

I think guys have to be pretty certain they want to be with a girl before they will invest time in a meaningful relationship, perhaps you should be respectful of anyone's hesitancy to dive into something like that?
