in other news, i bought a gorgeous silk country road dress for $150 at myer today, marked down from $300. i also bought a green third millenium singlet with a pink bow on it from david jones for $40 marked down from $165! got silver sandals from gary castles for $120 marked down from $295 and a red leather belt from oroton for $40 marked down from $180.

so i think i saved about $600, and i bought some really nice things. it was a very good shopping day indeed.

I plan on going shopping in Jan when I am paiiiiiiiid. So yeh, I go a bit crazy this time of year, but I get money for Christmas + Birthday + its sales and thus I can stretch my money further, sets me up for the year. Plus I didnt have to pay for the bras. Score

Apparently the sales are better when you go "late", like, they put all the crap stuff first so they can get rid of it quickly, then they put the good stuff a week after the sales have started. I think that's what they do at Myer (or so I'm told).

Ooooooooh! Incentive to keep coming back, I guess. That would explain why I found my red top... it's in a really popular size and colour, I would have expected it to have gone sooner.

For the last couple of years I've waited until Mid-January to scope out sales and I normally return with much more stuff than at 6:30am Boxing Day. No long lines and masses of people pressed into you either.

I wish shopping centres close to me were open today, could've used the airconditioning.
