Okay, so I turn 17 on the 21st May 2010, and I have held my Learner Drivers license for 12 months as of 13 June 2010. I have 74 hours in my log book as of today (10th February) with 20 hours done at night, so I will definitely have them done by 13 June.

I was wondering, can I book in advance TODAY through the RTA website, or by giving them a call, so I can get a guaranteed test through booking on the 13th June 2010?

Thanks :D :D :D

I'm pretty sure you can. This'll stop you from forgetting completely and then realising you can't book til October when you want to actually book them.

You should be able to. You don't have to have your hours when booking the call, or the age.

It's usually a few weeks where I am. If it's months, it must be an incredibly busy area.

i recommend booking this early, since you can cancel at anytime, as long as its not the same day as the test, and at my rta the available time slots get booked out very quick. just make sure you will be ready by this time

usually the 60 days they give you are booked out locally
also not too sure with the new rules, but to progress to Ps don't you have to be at least 17 and have held Ls for at least six months
ie you should be able to go for them a couple of weeks earlier than you plan to
