lolz, those kind of break ups are because of the same people with differences, like i mean before 1940s there were no jews in palestine, they started dumping them there with weapons and they controlled the place, thats called a slow invasion
Theodore Hertzyl founded the zionism movement in like the 1890s. There were a few Jews in Palestine in the early 1900s and the amount slowly built up and then grew rapidly from the 1930s due to the Nazis. The Palestinians were very unlucky that a vast amount of Jews fled to Palestine. This then led to two-states, which didnt last long, and now the situation we have today.

lol, i dont wanna go back to ma history books to write something up, but jews live everywhere in the middle east, just like arabs or asians live in australia, and yeh ure right in the 1930s british started trying to help out the jews so they sent em over in ships to palestine, these jews were loaded as always, and they started to buy palestinian land with so much money the palestinians couldnt resist, and once they had some control of the place they started to expand and took control of palestine
if u compare old maps with recent maps you'll notice that every year the palestenian state gets smaller and the jewish state expands

it seems he was killed by the syrians as they have invaded lebanon for some reason, i heard that the syrians have "invaded" lebanon for some reason i don't know why but they have hated each other for years.

Let me explain, during the Lebanese Civil War, America told Syria to go in and try to stop everything like sort of create some peace again because during that time both Lebanon and Syria were close, well what happened was in 1990 when Syria was meant to leave Lebanon they did not they stayed and took all our good exports and sold their crap to the Lebanese Government. Therefore, as a result, the Lira (Lebanese Currency) lost value.

Now, the guy that died was apart of politics but he resigned a while ago but he was still a key player in Lebanese politics. Anyway what he wanted to do was turn the Lebanese Government upside down and kick the syrians out of Lebanon because they were not needed anymore in the country as they were meant to have left 15 years ago and have not moved...if his plan was put into action the Syrians would have to leave Lebanon and the country would have been able to become a democracy once again..

this is why the Lebanese and the Syrians are divided because Syrians want control of Lebanon when it is not delegated to them at all

I still don't see why people worry about poverty in the Middle East when the real problems are in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Saudi Arabia gives shitloads of cash to mosques all around the world when they could actually feel generous to give it to the actual people if they feel like it is their duty to help the Muslims all over the world, but they disagree as they don't think those countries are "pure" and only agree to give them mosques in order to fix their morals.

Saudi Arabia must be in the top 5 of richest countries in the world but its human rights records ad its extreme interpretation of Islam including public beheadings and beatings are only used as a tool to make the people feel worth shit when they are making a motzah from oil and sending it to the US when they are just about as close as Israel.

I wouldn't know why any Muslim would want to live in a country auch as Saudi Arabia where they are under fear from the religious police for doing anything as bad as wearing shoes that make noise and not praying 5 times a day (which I think is a gracious, important measure underlining the need of the most simplest things in life) but not keeping up with modernism.

i see your point, but remember Islam is not the only religion prominate in the middle east, therefore the poor people that are Christian, Jewish, etc. do not benefit from the money coming from Saudi Arabia

It's less poverty in the middle east than it is war... however of course if people weren't in poverty they'd be less likely to go to war, but it's complicated to help a nation in war.

Once we fix the middle east (whenever that is), then we'll look after africa... you have to set priorities, it's relitively easy to fix the middle east in comparison with africa.

Saudi Arabia considers itself to be 100% Muslim which means expats, immigrants are still considered to be Muslim such as they still have to pray 5 times a day, eat halal, wear hijab (women), fast at ramadan, etc. Basically they are an extreme Wahhabi Islamic state where the constitution is the Qu'ran and it governs everyone. There is an extremely small number of non-Muslims in the whole are which are dhimmis (lower in status but still protected) but it would be only around 1% as many would have emigrated to Israel, US, Australia, Europe, Brazil, etc.

Egypt has a significant (7 million) number of Coptic Christians, but still have to abide by Shari'a (Islamic law) and really do not mix with the Muslims there.

I don't think we should delay all the hard work until tomorrow, and these ppl are dying from both diseases, war and slavery at the same time. These countries are only being ignored because of their lack of power when the Middle East and the West all have very extensive media that is only fixated in their area.

It seems that everyone has forgotten about nearly 4 million people dying in Rwanda, which was only about 4 yrs ago, and the Darfur conflict in Sudan which is still going on and is "ethnic cleansing" but nobody seems to care evn though millions more are dying there than any other place.

There's no infrastructure, no real stable governance, disease rampant, poverty rampant, warlords.... africa is a problem that requires a global effort, but first i think it would be best to at least quell the flames on the middle east.

I wish there was more of a focus on africa however, and i hope that our generation is the generation that decides to finally put a stop to it all.

i dont hate him but whilst alot of people starve in lebanon he is accumulating his riches and sending it to France where he is building castles for himself and living the high life. lebanon used to be such a beautiful and weathly country. u couldnt get the tourists outta there. then the civil war broke out and then people such as hariri used the oppurtunity to begin robbing the treasury.

it still is a beautiful country though :)
please i wish you go to lebanon and say what u did in ur first post.. 'dam it didnt kill him' i hope u do and see the reaction u get.. seeing u have probably lived ur whole life here and havent experienced what it was like civil war and post civil war and u are unable 2 tell teh differences hariri made..

So let me guess, you researched for yourself and didnt get your information passed on through someone else.. pfffffft

Do you even know what he did for the country? If it wasnt for him the country wouldnt be like it is today, beautiful. He rebuilt hte country. You say lots of people starve while he is accumulating his riches and sending it to france.. do u now how many people he paid for out of his own pocket to go to university? 30,000.. these include medical degrees and other expensive degrees.. im not sure which rafik hariri you are referring to but it isnt the one from lebanon. Your statement makes it sound like he did nothing for hte country, before he became president he was a successful business man, in construction.. And that is exactly wat lebanon needed after the war.. to be rebuilt beautiful and nice again..

I am pretty sure you havent been to solidaire any time lately.. so you dont know what your talking about.. solidaire and down town attracts many tourists.. not to mention when hariri flew in his concorde into beirut airport and it smashed all the windows.. he paid for it out of his own pocket.. and lots of other things he has spent out of his own money.. the reconstruction of the mosque near virgin.. other things in saida.. and over lebanon..
