this seems like the right place to put this question.

okay our internal body temperatures are 37 degrees Celsius due to the enzymes in our bodies needing it to be at the optimum level.
my question is :
why do we feel the heat at 33 degrees and we begin to sweat etc when surely we should be able to get up to 37 degrees before our body should start to cool us down???

is that so we don't overheat and go past that limit or is there another logical explanation?

because we are alive, we are constantly metabolising...our muscles move, thus producing heat and just our whole body every cell is constantly producing heat! Thus, we always need to get rid of the waste heat but we can't do that if the air temp. is the same/higher than our body heat...air is not a very good conductor of heat, and if our temp. regulation only kicked in when the room temp is 37, by the time we start to get rid of the excess heat we are producing, we'd overheat :)
