Is anyone looking to apply for this? I saw it today in the enrolment booklet and I was wondering if anybody would actually consider taking this on. It sounds a bit like school captain and prefects/leaders territory. Do any students at the Gong actually know of anyone who is in this program and if so, any comments?

To be honest, I've been at UOW for 3 years and thats the first I've ever heard of it.

That's strange, in the booklet it advertises it as a three year leadership program. Maybe its only been introduced this year.

i was school captain at my school and i was also considering to apply for this, surely it cant hurt, unless of course its time demanding

Yeah, its only a new thing. I did a quick search for it on uow.edu.au and it's just a SRC/Cadetship society thing but it seems that it'll take up a bit of time not to mention that you're paying $500 a year for the privialage of helping the university. But it'd look good on a resume.
