Big W Group Assessment - what to expect (1 Viewer)

Got an email the other day from the local Big W inviting me to attend a Group Assessment in the not too distant future. It's just for a Team Member position I applied for. I am currently employed within a fast food outlet (in customer service).

The email mentions that there will be three activities, in small groups, pairs and indivials. There will also be a short one on one interview.

Just wondering what I should expect at this interview and if there is anything I can do to prepare myself for this other than the usual interview stuff?

Try and be confident and nice but I guess if that isn't your personality, it would be hard to prepare. I'd say prepare for some of the obvious one on one questions, like why do you want to work here? What do you think you can bring to big w? Why should we hire you over someone else? I wasn't asked any of these at my group interview but it would be nice to be ready just in case because personally, I'm bad at making up philosophical answers to questions like that on the spot.

At any group interview, don't be shy. Be prepared to do risky things like Ask questions, do things first.

At all group interviews you want to be the center of attention.

In my interview we were given a random product and had to give a presentation to promote it. Mine was a poncho and the group had set things to say while I modeled it xD

Also; you will be told to go with someone you don't know and do some kind of activity where you have to work together (brainstorm ideas) to solve a problem.

Macq was one f the first stores to get it.

It is so funny. Everyone fails there scan I get like 60 each time I scan my finger.
