Jacaranda all the way.

it has the outcomes in the front which helps a lot.
And HEAPS of pracs.

Plus, it looks better than any other text book, and makes you *want* to learn from it (if that makes sense)

I've got both spotlight and jacaranda. Jacaranda is very good like you said. Spotlight has very good explanations and its easy to understand. Excel is great for revising.

i don't think you can call SuccessOne and excel physics textbooks...jacaranda has to be the best since its got colour:D; like astron says if it looks better then it makes you want to learn more, but no one textbook can have all the information you need to get full marks and on the other hand any one of the textbook should be adequate for you to get a band 6 if you remember most of it.

A note to make:
Surfing is a revision series, wheras Jacaranda is an actual text book with info in it.

I personally think Jacaranda is far better.

You need to visit a fairly large store.
The Dymocks Paramatta has one. But dont always look in the excel textbook section. Sometimes they are in their own category.

Just wondering, do you think that they will update it for the new sylabus?

I'm sure they will eventually, but I don't think the new edition will be released before it's too late if it hasn't been released already. All the big orders will now have passed and there's no point producing more now...they may also be waiting on further revisions.

If a jackaranda is just a cheap veneer, i dont know what macmillan is:rolleyes: too bad our school could only afford macmillans.....

I have contexts which is excellant relative to macmillan and tho i dont have jacaranda, i found it quite useful when i used it...But macmillan... its a shocker.
