on of the best uses of music ive ever seen had to be in vanilla sky.

the jeff buckley song "last goodbye" plays when tom cruise leaves the building jsut before he has a car crash and dies, then waking up and we dont figure he is dead till the end.

the fact that the song is "last goodbye" is the audiences clue that he dies...

i think i may have the story line/characters a bit confused, none the less you get the point

ugh. am i the only one who hates it when they can't find a les blatantly obvious song for that particular part of a movie? like the lyrics give a commentary on the events. so unimaginative

The Sound of Music!
Fellowship of the Ring.
The Company of Wolves had a good one (albeit appropriated)
pfft come to think of it most good movies have reasonable soundtracks, none have excellent ones.

Yeh, I loved the way that movie ended with that song playing in the background...

i've got another few...

oh, i cannot go passed..."Downtown" (Petula Clark), ""Bookends" (Simon & Garfunkel) and "End of the World" (Skeeter Davis) all from Girl, Interrupted. Excellent music, even better film...

(and yes abu this one is probably a film for lesbians seeing that Angelina Jolie is in it......)

yeah, and the shins were in sponge bob too...not exactly the music you would associate with a "kiddies" film hey?
