Hey does anyone have any past HSC French Beginners Speaking practice questions or even ones that you've made up yourself? I've left this very late, as the real thing is on monday, but would really appreciate it if anyone has any.

These are what I've been trying to study with...I thought maybe if there are any French students out there could give me a hand...2003, q3 and 4...I don't know what to do for them..


French Beginners 2001


Question 1

- Say that you need to send this parcel to Sydney.
- Say that there are only books in the book.
- Ask how long it will take by airmail.

Question 2

- Say that Antoine arrived from Paris yesterday
- Tell your friend your plans for this evening
- Tell him/her that you will meet in front of the Café royal at 6.30

Question 3

- ask if she has seen all the other films
- ask her which film she prefers
- tell her what you are going to do after the film

Question 4

- Tell him that you are on a holiday.
- Tell him that you learn French at school in Australia
- Tell him what you like doing.

Question 5
- Say that you would like to find somewhere to stay
- Ask about prices
- Explain that you do not have much money
- Tell him/her something about the rest of the trip

French Beginners 2002

Question 1

- Ask if she/he has met the new student, Sandrine
- Say that you think she is nice
- Ask if your friend agrees with you
- Suggest an outing for the three of you

Question 2

- Greet the shop assistant
- Tell him/her you cannot find what you are looking for
- Describe the item and why you need it
- Ask how much it costs

Question 3

- Say that you missed the 10 clock train to Strasbourg.
- Ask when the next train will arrive there.
- Express concern because you will be late
- Explain why you are concerned

Question 4

- Say that you do not have much time. (use tu in this question)
- Identify two of your favorite leisure activities
- Say which one you prefer and why
- Suggest that he/she come with you on Saturday
- Make a time and place to meet

French beginners 2003

Question 1

- Greet the person at the desk
- Say your age and country of origin
- Say why you are in Paris

Question 2

- Ask how to get to the Picasso museum in Grandin Street
- Spell the name of the street G-R-A-N-D-I-N
- Repeat the direction given
- Ask if it is far

Question 3

- Tell the police what you have lost
- Give a brief description of the item
- Say why you are worried
- Ask what you should do

Question 4

- Ask if you can leave school early
- Tell him/her your plans
- Mention what you did last year
- Explain why you will not do the same thing this year
