but what im saying is real talent doesnt stick out anymore because it has to be DIFFERENT to everybody else. now days if youre DIFFERENT only a minority of people want to hear you. thats why anybody can get into the music industry and make millions, so long as they conform to what mainstream expects.

er.... well bands such as Slayer and Fear Factory managed that... and if you pick up a album or even listen to a song by either band you can tell straight off what it is... ICP became huge with fuk all marketing, so no talent does stick out, its more of a case whether the band/group/person wants to stick out and risk it, or be one of the crowd, which is by far the biggest trend... try looking for originalityon the top 40

no I do you fucking n00b, since i listen to a fair amount of rap music in addition to metal... i heard a tupac album the other day, and the only half listenable song was one he did with Dr Dre. Coincidence? i think not. Also, the fact that more of his shit has been released posthumously than when he was alive sorta indicates that he was merely some sort of cash cow for the label.

on that note, jason and the doctor is pretty good. john safran was on triplej today and he didn't quite cut it as a radio host from the very short part i heard of it.

he doesnt really have a radio voice, what with his lisp and all.
