bell no way it would be 88, the cut off for pe for is around there, economics scales just as well as physics if not better, a raw mark of around 82 shuld get you band 6.

Oh it was a very uneducated guess, just based on what I felt today was like. Top 15% get band 6 in eco from memory. Surely top 15% would get 85+

Just cause its high scaling doesnt mean it works like that more people doing eco will get band 6's than Pe. But to get a band 6 in that test you will be looking at raw closer to 90 than 80 sorry mate.
That test a band 6 student should have got 18/20 36/40 18/20 18/20 with ease.

economics is classed just as hard as physics and chemistry. to get 90 in physics one year,78 was the cut off. i am so sorry but you don't know what your talking about.

Scaling isn't indicative of aligning...From what we've seen, extension history aligns basically none at all, and yet it's one of the best scaling subjects. We don't know unless we've seen anyone get back raw marks, which as far as I know we haven't. But because economics has always seemed easy marks to me in comparison with its scaling, I would guess 85 or higher.

English scales much better than ancient, and yet they align very similarly. Do you see what I am saying?

Probably wont be 78. But if its liek phys and chem usually band 6 should be around mid low 80s so probably 83-86 range id think. If u get 90+ ur probably looking at a mid band 6, cos they mark the essays pretty harshly. I dont think many peopel will be getting 18+ for both essays.

fucks sake man...if your so sure about it that you can dismiss anyone who makes a suggestion why the hell did you even make this topic asking for opinons?

The band 6 cut-off will most likely be no where near 80, around 84 or 85, I don't think you really appreciate how the scaling process works, it depends on the difficulty of the test and the performance of everyone and judging by the reactions of a shitload of people, it was dead easy and alot of people will be in the 80-90 raw range. I could be wrong but those are my thoughts, go ahead and prove me wrong.

there's a reason the cut off marks change every year because the exam paper changes every year which means cut off are generally based on the difficulty of the exam, i definitely agree that cut off for band 6 is going to be btw 87-90 because that was not a hard exam, the essays were simple questions and there were only 1-2 MCs that were difficult and the SAQs were fairly straightforward if u knew your content
