to sum it upHey guys,
This might seem like a really stupid question
but what do they mean when they say 'band 6'
is that just your HSC mark? or is it HSC and internal marks?
oh good i get it now lol. so its school and the actual hsc markBand 6 is referring to any HSC mark of at least 90.
To get band 6 in a subject, the average of the moderated school and scaled HSC exam marks needs to be at least 90.
No.oh good i get it now lol. so its school and the actual hsc mark
That should be aligned marksBand 6 is referring to any HSC mark of at least 90.

maybe because there was a lot of factors and circumstances that affected my performance throughout the year. Not virtually, practically.
Why would you even think that you can?
The entire HSC is meant to reflect your progress throughout year 12 as well as final exams, hence the assessments. If you're not coming first in your assessments, why should you come first in the state even if you do come first in the external exams?
its harder. well, the guy who beat you must've been good if he beat you anyway. so if u both do really well, then its very possible to come first.Does that mean that you virtually cannot come first in the state in a subject without coming first in the school for that particular subject. This is assuming you go to a low ranking school.
