Hi guys,
I will be taking babs1201 next semester and I was wondering if it's very difficult. What are the labs like? I have never touch biology before in high school. thanks

It's not that hard if you like Biology!

BABS1201 is not so much hard as it is time consuming. there is a somewhat ridiculous amount of content, and certain lecturers have poor notes and teaching styles. Anne Galea is the saving grace of this subject though. the labs are tedious and students are left to their own devices a lot. however, there are many opportunities to score easy marks. the two literature reviews are very straight forward and simple. the lab tests (if multiple choice) are very easy to obtain 7+/10 with a moderate amount of study. the final exam, from memory, was more difficult than the lab tests, and seemed to bring a lot of people's marks down. but overall, this subject is not overly difficult and a distinction is achievable.

too much content? I foresee myself doing a lot of memorising then since I'm doing 3 other psych subjects..
