I'm currently in my second year of my science degree (at sydney uni), in my second semester i went pretty well - got D's and a HD. Unfortunately, i flunked first semester, and failed all my subjects (some stuff happened with my family).

Point that im asking is, would it be possible to discontinue my studies at the end of the year and reenter the same degree (at same uni), and use the subjects i passed in as credit toward the degree. And therefore my record of fails is gone (more or less). Or possibly tranfer to B.Science/Technology do that for a year.

The reason im asking is i have being considering getting into a science/commerce degree. I have a UAI of 91.40 and 5 failed subjects will not do any good for my transfer.

If anyone has any advice/ideas of how i could work this, it would be greatly appreciated.

I dont think u can get rid of your record of fails (not that sure). You could try transferring to unsw since they usually take the highest out of your secondary and tertiary marks

if you change universities the GPA from old uni do not transfer to the new uni

but thats provided u have a high enough gpa to even transfer to another decent uni and course
