B Design (Visual Communications) OR USYD B Design Computing? (1 Viewer)

I really can't tell the difference! Please assess the two courses (and universities!) in terms of:

- Content
- Resources
- Links to the industry
- Future pathways/careers

I was aiming for something in digital media or animation or something of the likes, but I would also LOVE to keep my options open (eg. open up to IT, science, arts if digital media fails me).

Also, any other uni courses in Sydney in this area?

theres a guy in my course [design vis comm] who changed from design computing at syd i think. i think he said that design computing was more mathematical and engineering. i dont know if that info helps or confuses. sorry!

USYD Design computing, like the name implies, goes beyond a design degree, and crosses over into IT and computer science.
I believe their assumed knowledge is mathematics, as opposed to UTS visual comm's assumed knowledge being advanced english and visual arts.
