B. Arts - how many contact hrs p/wk for fulltime? (1 Viewer)

Hi

I'm doing a degree in the Vet Sci faculty but a friend that is doing B. Arts (or maybe Liberal Arts & Science) told me that their "fulltime" load (48 credit points) requires only 12 contact hours per week..

Is that true?!!

I am shocked.. mine is 24 hrs p/wk plus some extra hours later in the semester for excursions.

Yeah, Arts is 12 hours a week. I'm doing Arts Law and I've got 12 hours a week.

Is it possible to transfer between degrees once the teaching year has already begun?

It really depends what subjects you're doing, though it's usually 10-14. I do 11 but I know people doing languages which will usually add another hour for tutorials. But yeah, it generally seems like a given that a Vet. Sci degree would entail more hours than an Arts degree.
