okay so i go to a fully selective high school (ranked in top 15)
and im doing average in all my subjects there, so i was just wondering what would be the average atar for selective schools?
so i know what i should expect, cause selective schools often set harder assessments and if i put these marks in the atar calculator, lets say im fucked.

At my school (top 25) most people get 90+, I wouldn't know what the actual average is though.

Yeah mate you are fucked

They dont calculate your Assessment (Internal) Mark going by your marks at school, they use your rank. That way it makes it fairer for students from schools that sit harder exams

Also a median ATAR would be more useful than knowing the average ATAR. This eliminates outliers.

If your school is top 15, the average would be somewhere in the 90s.
The median ATAR at Ruse is about 99.3.

Also, what subjects do you do? If you are average rank in very "competitive/high scaling" subjects, you might not be as bad as you think.

Maybe a bit higher. It's somewhere around mid 99.

SBHS (2011 ranked 4th) median ATAR was probably high 97.

ATAR calculators use your HSC mark...not your raw marks.
