Hey ppl wat is ur average assessment % for all assessments done for physics?

hmm...

1st ass.- portfolio 10%
2nd ass.- half yearly 10%
3rd ass.- trials 40%
4th ass.- portfolio 30%

that adds up to 90%, either the first 2 were 15% or we had another topic test, cant remember now

Jackson, are you talking about % results, or % weightings?

For example:

A) What was task #1 worth - 10%, 20%, 30% etc.

OR

B) My average assessment percentage (performance %) was 85%



But if Rahul is on the right track:

Physics Weighting
Task
Space Open Ended Investigation 10%
Cathode Ray Tube Open Ended Investigation 25%
Half Yearly Exam 10%
Option Assignment 15%
Trial HSC 40%

Total 100

15% - trial practical
30% - trial exam
20% - Half yearly
15% - In class pracs
12% - half yearly practical
8% - Assignment

oh yes, we did a prac exam for 10%
that adds up to 100, i think

I'd get about 70-80% as well.

Funny my raw trial mark at school of 82/100 got scaled to 92/100 woohooo band 6

I hope it aligns like that as well in the HSC

It's all about your rank don't worry too much about your mark... make sure you get a dam good rank. I did physics last year and my rank too me down.

It went like this...

15% Half Yearly
15% Practical Test
40% Trials
30% Portfolio

And it was in that particular order...

Before the trials, I was scaled up to around 95...
But now I reckon its somewhere in the 80s

nar man, it we also had a portfolio to do.

sorry if this sounds dumb, but what do you mean your trial mark at school got scaled from 82 to 92???

yes, that is correct. it is done to give a 'better' comparison for what the student may get in the hsc.

and dash we have had 5 assessments in total, 10+10+10+40+30. prac test+portfolio+half yearly+trials+portfolio2

My average assessment mark is 89%, but i think it will go up because the teacher said he had to stretch our marks out more... That means i might be in line for a band 6?? Hope so!!!

I dont think my school is smart enough to think of doing that! : (

no one scale our results for the trials- as far as i know.. but our assessment marks b4 sending into BOS are scaled- and BOS will scale them once again. and then UAC will scale them again

and it goes on and on............
