Um, we have one of the largest economies in the world (top 15 out of like 200) with one of the freest markets (4th), the equal 2nd strongest banking industry in the world, and an income disparity significantly lower than places like China, Russia or America. Oh, and an IT sector that's one of the top five best in the world (which counts for a fuck of a lot in the post-industrial age).

You are referring to reliance upon primary industry exports yes?

Oh... yeah. Well besides Canada and Norway we're the only other developed country whose economy is still based significantly on raw commodities (agriculture and natural resources). But that's still misleading because our service and manufacturing sectors are very sophisticated (e.g. see IT industry link in previous post) and both are larger than our agriculture/mining sectors.
