Federer stopped Davydenko's 6 set points, 2 in a game, 4 in the tie breaker of the third set and wins the set!! Absolutely amazing!

I checked the scores and they were already in the results section while ch.7 were still broadcasting late in the 4th set.

Roger was just being modest in suggesting that it was not so much the case that he wasn't playing his best - rather that Davidenko simply played good tennis. That has to be the worst I've seen Federer play in a long time.

Roger really did scrape that third set in, it should have been Davydenko's since he had 6 set points, 6! It could easily have been a 5 setter, which would have been interesting.

True, but I think you can tell if it's live on a certain night by when they show people sitting at melbourne park watching it on the large screen during the ad breaks. I'm pretty sure it has been live most nights.
For the women's singles, it's likely to be a Belgian winning it, just because there's one from each side of the draw! For the mens, I want a Federer vs. Baghdatis final!
