i wasnt sure where to put this so here will do.

ive applied for a few music courses at uni next year, and unlike other courses on the UAC site, it doesnt display the ATAR required. it just says "A+C" meaning ATAR plus other selection criteria.

so i was wondering if anyone could tell me the ATAR needed, if any, for the following music courses...

bachelor of muisc @ UNSW
bachelor of muisc @ UWS (penrith)
bachelor of music @ UNE (armidale)
bachelor of music @ ANU
bachelor of music @ UNCLE

thanks.

Usually for music courses you have to audition and they don't care much about your HSC marks. Though it varys between each uni :guitar::guitar:

I find the usual are asking for 70-80 or therabouts, but mostly it's:
a) Audition
b) Interview
there's also what you play, the less common it is, the less competition, e.g. Flute and Clarinet players will soon outnumber the rest of us, as will Violins, and i don't mean that as an insult, merely a statment of fact. I play the Oboe, you?

There;s a REALLY good looking course at ANU, starting next year, called a 'bachelor of professional music practice' what about AIM?

@ muffin man, im not trying out for the con because the audition requirements are too high for me, too much focus is on classical music, and i dont have any formal training

ohh, 70s to 80s... i dunno if i can get that high.. i might be able to scrape a 70, but i dunno... and i dont have any formal training, so i dunno how thats gonna affect me!

and i play the guitar, and i sing :)

i went to my audition the other day at UNE all the way in armidale, drove up there for it and everything, and they seemed pretty keen, i dunno though!
