Amazing atar!!
from what i hear many standard students dont get above 90 D:
Standard english shouldn't make it THAT hard to achieve 90+ but that's dependent on the student and their subject combination. I did standard too along with mostly low scaling subjects and I reckon I faired moderately well in the end. It's only (imo) that 98+ is harder to achieve with standard.

Yeah I'm wondering the same thing. My aim for the HSC will be 80+ as the EAS may boost the mark to be eligible for Bachelor of Business. I'm performing well in most of my classes except standard English. I'm very scared that if I do poorly in this subject, my atar will be ruined. So just seeing these results by others is a real confident booster, but nevertheless Standard English students must try exceptionally hard in order to maintain a high atar.

Just invest one hour per day on studying English, throughout your HSC, and I can guarantee you'll get at least a band 5 :)

Also, if you go to a poorly ranked school, ensure you're in the top of the cohort or else you'll pretty much get a band 4.

btw I also didn't finish any of the modules in paper 1 and barely scraped the conclusions of the 3 essays in paper 2 in the HSC exams.
Such a horrible feeling leaving that exam room but whatever UNSW accepted me into B computer science surprisingly, which had an atar cutoff of 91 :D

I still would have been .7 short with my HSC plus bonus points. Does anybody know why I got accepted? I think the cutoff was the same in 2011 and 2012 not 100% sure.

The highest ATAR out of everyone who did standard this year was 99.70 which is very impressive.
