Hello, very new and just joined to see if anyone could give me an ATAR estimate

For my exams I think I've been performing from 80s to 90s, and I'm a little scared thats going to drag down my overall performance?
I'm sure a lot of people here know how the system works better than me (I'm at a tiny middle of nowhere school) and any explanation/run down would be greatly appreciated.

Maths Adv. 93
English Adv. 91
Chemistry 95
Biology 96
Modern History 94
Visual Arts 98

Are these you trial marks? For your atar prediction you need to put your trial marks (if these aren't). You also need to provide your internal ranks and school rank. Alongside this you should also put what you school performance has been from the past few years (maybe 2022 and 2023). You can find this on HSC Ninja. Also @jimmysmith560 will assist you in your atar predictions after you have provided this information. :)

No those ones are my assessment marks, trials were a bit lower :'( (English 86, Maths 81, Chem 92, Modern 93, Bio 90 and Art 98)
Does that mean ATARs are based off just exam marks or assessments and exams combined?

Nice, but whatever your school is you have to provide how many B6's there have been in past years as well :)

My school doesn't really make it available, but based off the distinguished achievers list it's between 3 and 6 per year

Do you mean what subjects they were in, or if the ones I'm doing have been band 6 in the past?

From this information, you seem to be on track with an ATAR between 92.5 and 93.5. However, the fact that you are ranked first across your subjects means that there is technically nothing stopping you from reaching an ATAR as high as 99.95. Being ranked first in a subject gives you a significant advantage provided you also achieve the highest HSC exam mark in your cohort for that subject. This is because in such a case, the moderation process would work in your favour, meaning that your overall HSC mark would essentially be made equal to your HSC exam mark. This gives you a great opportunity to maximise your overall HSC mark in that subject, and consequently maximise its contribution to your ATAR.

In your particular case, you have this opportunity in not one, but all of your subjects, because your rank is optimal in each of them. As such, by performing at a high standard in each of your HSC exams, you have a high chance of exceeding this estimate. Hopefully you prepared thoroughly and did well in the HSC exams that you sat so far. You should also ensure that you continue to prepare to the best of your ability for your remaining HSC exams.

I hope this helps! 😄

I just calculated it. Assuming you achieve the same marks as you did in trials for the HSC you should get very close to 99.55.

Thank you guys! I really don't have very much information on how it works so this helps a lot 🙏
All the best to anyone else still doing their exams!
