Hi
I'm in year 11 this year but I wanna know what my atar would be around for HSC if I had:

SUBJECTS RANK
English Adv 50/100
Maths Ext 1 10/70
Maths Ext 2 8/40
Economics 15/50
Business Studies 10/30

my school rank is top 20

And my friend wants to know hers as well:

SUBJECTS RANK
English Adv 120/160
English Ext 1 80/110
Maths Ext 1 60/160
Maths Ext 2 30/80
Economics 10/40
Physics 25/40

My friend goes to a school that is ranked top 5.

Thanks! :)

for you - 97-98
your friend - low 90s
both of you need to work on your english ranks and your friend needs to work on her physics, english and maths ranks to get up to the high 90s

ok thanks for the advice :D
btw, my friend was ranked 60/160, not 160/160 if u misread that (i couldnt separate the subjects and numbers that far :p)
and for sghs, its really hard to ranked really high for english. does her rank still affect her atar that much?

To the OP, you know standard practice is to use school ranks instead of school names...

Thank you for putting ranks, now I can do my work...

Person 1: ~98
Person 2: EX1 is probably not going to count - then: ~91 maybe?

EX1 - English Extension 1.

MX1, MX2, EX1, EX2 are abbreviations I use. Others use EE1, EE2, 3u, 4u.

And why is that?

Extension - regardless of English or Maths still begins with an 'E'.

I think this'll boil down to personal preference.

Okay. Well... that clears that up.

I prefer X for X-tension. Sounds more awesome. =P
